As far as I'm aware, Cat B should be spare parts only.

Sent him an email asking how he has put a cat B back on the road as it's not allowed as it's a breaker car only unless it's got stolen I D from a cat B on it :scared:

It's on an 06 plate as well? Thought they started on a 56?

DOnt think its and ED30 if you read his description carefully he says he has his gti for sale with every bit from an Ed30 on it, not sure where he gets the standard bhp as 240 from either. unless its a GTI chassis with a K04 lump.

Category B Insurance Write Off - the vehicle must not be used again but non- structural and roadworthy parts and components may be recovered for use in other vehicles. Care must be taken to ensure that they are not critical components with important safety functions. Again there are several online companies who will offer significant amounts of money for Category B Insurance Write Off vehicles.
Interesting how he has that up for sale considering above is the official line on Cat B write offs!

It has the front mounted DV so that suggests K04.
