Ok so currently I have a Golf Edition 30, with RNS 510C & a 6 changer CD player.
I need hands free in the car, and want to stick to OEM setup if possible. Needs to work with Iphone.
What do I need? How much should it cost?
How much can I get all this done and sorted in my car for ????
Any pitfuls, down sides I should be aware of??

I would pm SteveP. I have OEM 510 MFD sat nav. Steve supplied & fitted me an OEM 729B bluetooth, for complete hands free functionality. Works beautifully with my iPhone 3GS on the latest OS.

As said the skoda 729B bluetooth works fine with iphone3g and 4 on the new O.S
Pick the kit up on ebay for around £330. Easy to fit but will need coding with VCDS.
Although VRStu, VRScarl and Mortygttdi awell as SteveP could supply them too.

Could also go with this;

Dension Gateway 5
I am looking to get this to work with an RCD510 & iPhone 4 - it also displays phonebook etc / tracklists via the highline display.

I thought that there was a compatibility issue with the dension systems when your running a sat nav system, due to the dension using the same screen on the MFD as the satnav?

Ahh could be mate, I was only looking at it being RCD510, so RNS users may wish to ignore my suggestion.

I have a couple of OEM kits in the garage if you want one mate :happy2:
Drop me a PM :santa:

Dont look too easy for someone with my very limited abilities!! :signLOL: Do you need the highline for this to work as i dont have one?
-
No highline just RNS510.
It's not as bad as it looks and easier on the golf. Plenty of people here able to help.

I managed to fit my b/t interface box under the ashtray\cubby. Much less hassle :happy2:
