Hi all
I've ordered my 'AF' revision CAN gateway ready for me to install my RNS510 when i get back from my holiday on the 9th, also ordered my aerial adapter, new microphone for my car kit and a few other bits and i'm thinking to also fit a reversing camera whilst im there
at the moment i'm in the far east and theres a whole load of reversing cameras available, including some which have RGB outputs which i believe the RNS 'speaks' in
has anyone seen or heard or known of anyone fitting a NON-VW camera to a RNS 510 unit?
Also, when it comes to maps and POI's, i've heard of the 'POInspector' software, and i'm relatively tech savvy so shouldnt be an issue to make the modified map dvd, however, i understand the maps are loaded onto the internal HDD, so, if i somehow manage to screw up the maps, is it just a case of wipe and re-insert the backup disc i'm receiving with the unit?

Have a look on my-gti or vwnavi. There's a file which you can download and burn to disc which, once inserted into the RNS, wipes only the map portion of the hard drive.
