Yes I remember that, don't think she was too pleased at the great gouges made in her garden when it was dragged into place.  :grin:

No engines? I can get a MiG-21 for $250,000 with several hundred hours left on the engine!

If helicopters are your game you can buy a working Mi-25 Hind for $50-100,000 IIRC...

MiG-21bis is newer than a Lightning, it's a bona fide gen2.5/3 warplane...

But the Hind is pig-ugly, that's for sure. When it was used by the Soviets in Afghanistan the Afghans called it "Satan's Chariot"!

when it says decommissioned does that mean it can never fly again?

It sure does!!!!!!

It means that most if not all of the avionics have been removed so its basically a shell :happy2:

But with a bit of work it would be possible but that would be nigh on impossible with a harrier.
