Title: Tornado Red GTI

Hi Guys,

Current spec: Tornado red, 18inch R32 alloys, Sat nav, Full leather seats, Xenons, ECU remap to 260bhp.

I'm tempted to get some tints? What do people think?

Good looking car, i like the alloys!

I have a TR GTI with factory-tinted rear windows, and it looks great.

What % are your tints? Dont suppose you could stick a pic up on here so I can see what the tints look like?  :happy2:

Nice car.

Tints - the rear windows can be tinted to whatever %. I think the fronts are already tinted so any film is likely to exceed the 70% light limit.

How dark would you recommend? I don't want it to look chav, but would like the tints to be fairly obvious as I think darkish tints will look pretty aggressive against the red, especially with the black grill at the front etc. There is a slight blueish tint to the windows already, but its hardly visible...

I had 50% on the back. I to found it most similar to the VW privacy glass option.  :happy2:

I'm waiting to pick mine up and gonna be putting limo
tints from b-pillar back :laugh: and some other blackness
elsewhere  :drool:

Tint the side quarter windows, but i would replace the rear screen for a factory tinted version to avoid the "White ring of death" :sick:

Damo - bet you cant wait to pick her up!! Make sure you post some pics up on this thread when you get the car - I'd like to see the limo tints!!

Saint Steve - Any idea how much a factory tinted rear screen would cost??

Im not sure on price tbh, someone on here will know roughly.

It spoils the look of the rear with having tint film on the back. Sides are no problem with the same tint as the factory tinted glass.
