Title: why wont my head unit turn of

hello all,

just had a new head unit instaled, but it wont turn on and of with the ignition key, have to press the button on the head unit?

why is this?

Probably been wired in wrong. :confused:

halfords, but all they had to do was unplug the adapter from my old head unit and plug it into the back of my new one, so i cant see how they coulda mucked it up lol

There is no ignition switched live in the original loom so they need to do more than just plug it in.

even though on my old head unit with the same wiring loom switched on and of fine?

a fake rns 510 or somthing like that (fitted by the previous owner) lol
