Just wondering if people sticking to the 2.6 (37) all round?

-
Yes... but that purely just from what its say in the fuel flap, rather than any other reason!

-
I tend to stick to it. I know T_T recommends adjusting them according to the situation and conditions (generally lower).

-
lower, really? im one of those who thinks the tyres look flat and looks like it cannot be correct.

 I have been using 2.6.
-

I run 34 all round, and have done for since i owned the car.

 Had no issues
-
i run either 34 or 35 as above never had any issues

-
ok, so people are going under what VW say..

maybe i need to check my tyre gauge...
-
Are we referring to 17" or 18" wheels? VW told me when I purchased the car with 18's, that it should be 32psi, but I do tend to run them at 34-35psi. How many are running 18's at 37psi out of interest ?

				18" 225 40 18.... 2.6bar

-
				on me ed30, so 18s.
I was starting to wonder if it was too high, seems to drip better lower
-
				i run my 19" bbs on 34psi

-
I have always run 32psi on any car ive had, and yes you do get a little more grip but also slightly incresed tyre wear.. havent actually checked why my 18s on the gti are since i picked it up...

-
I run mine between 34-36 depending on the car load...

-
				great, thanks guys

-
Running 18's, my fuel cap says 2.4 bar I think.

-
				.
I run 37psi and maintain pressures very regularly as I'm constantly informed by my TyreSure monitor every 5 seconds. It's certainly a luxury gizmo to have but far more useful than you might at first imagine. Displays individual tyre temperatures too.

It's interesting how tyre pressures change during a drive.

Robin do you have shares in TyreSure or some other vested interest?

....Why do you think that?  :surprised:

The TyreSure is not well known and someone might be grateful for discovering it here.

I'm an enthusiast and express my enthusiasm for anything and everything I particularly like. So, as I find the TyreSure very useful I share my enthusiasm for it so that others can check it out for themselves and perhaps enjoy having one too - It's entirely up to them. No financial vested interests whatsoever in any of the products I enthuse about. I have to say that sometimes I feel a bit irritated that some people make such assumptions - Usually the same type of people who never express much passion about anything unless it's negative - It's unfortunately a very typically English trait I'm sad to say.

Me complain...never!  I love my GTi far too much!
