Hi guys,
Bought a black 07 gti 5 weeks ago. Really pleased with it, great performance. Exterior in great shape except for the bonnet which has lots of swirls and a few stone chips.
I was looking at the possibility of getting it resprayed... Has anyone any idea how much this would cost or should I talk to a detailed first to see if it can be rectified without paint.
Any help would be appreciated.

i would talk to a detailer first...welcome to the forum

Stone chips can be repaired but requires paint. You can't take them out completely but they're pretty much invisible if done correctly.
A respray has the additional problem of colour matching.

Thanks guys. I will post on the detailing section and see if anyone has any local recommendations in Birmingham/West Midlands area.
