Title: Fitting OEM CD changer to MFD2 - extra wire???
Post by: York_GTI on January 15, 2011, 10:06:48 am
I'm fitting a CD changer to my armrest today and have all the bits including the correct cable.

The changer cable however has a seperate loose brown wire that connects to the block at the headunit end - any idea what this is for and if I need to connect it?

Any help would be appreciated :happy2:

Thanks Steve :happy2:

Any ideas of a suitable place to attach it?  I take it the changer won't work if I leave it unconnected?

York-gti, did you have to code the cd changer?

Sorry for the delay - it was a plug and play job and works perfectly with no coding :happy2:

Don't suppose you have a PN for the cable leading from your CD changer to the back of your HU do you?
