I just went to fit my OZ's today, cleaned the car, repaired and painted the wheels, cleaned them all waxed them, jacked the car up............. and the standard bolts are too short......... :fighting:
So I obviously need a longer bolt but does anyone know exactly the right size and best place to get them from. It is a 56 plate R32 with OZ Ultraleggera wheels ?
Cheers

A bit long winded but. take std wheel and bolts off car, put std bolt through std alloy and measure length at rear, put bolt into new wheel measure that should give you how much longer it needs to be
-
yep I did that to get a rough idea but just wondered if it was a known issue and someone could recommend a specific supplier or anything ?
-
Dunno about length, as that'll be specific to your wheels, but the thread is M14x1.5, I believe. You need to ensure the shoulder is the correct type, too.
-
^^^^^ That's very important, most aftermarket wheels have a different shoulder to OEM.
From memory most OEM bolts have about 27mm of thread, so aim for about 35-40 I guess depending on just how short the bolts are.

you can get the longer bolts from venom motorsport or awesome gti i came across this exact same problem when i got my new wheels. It was amazing how many local alloy wheel firms i rang who said they just fit the original bolts SCARY anyway hope this helps.

Phone up Demon Tweeks, Venom, or any OZ wheel supplier and they should be able to recommend the right bolt length and shoulder type. :happy2:

Cheers everyone very helpful will speak to one of those suppliers and getting some bolts in the post first thing Monday.
