Title: Hella xenon 'look' headlights
Post by: Gtiain on January 17, 2011, 01:26:47 pm
I'm after some xenon headlights so have been looking on the various sites and came across these hella xenon look headlights. I'm a little confused however, now are these headlights designed to just look like oem xenons and just put normal bulbs in. Or are they designed to put xenon bulbs in and are just aftermarket headlights.

Does this make sense? Ta chaps  :happy2:

Hope that helps??

Its the word 'look' that gives it away

True golf xenons will accept D2S bulbs (aswell as my Hella dynabeam xenons) so if they state H7 then there not designed for xenons.

Nothing stopping you from getting them though and putting a 4300k HID kit in them...........not 100% kosher/legal come 2012 but most people that have retro fitted OEM xenons havnt fitted levelers or washers either  :happy2:

You could call Hella with the part number and check to see if the projectors in those lights are suitable for HIDs.
