Title: Iain's Reflex silver GTI ~R32 bumper BCS exhaust on~
Post by: Gtiain on January 24, 2011, 08:26:17 am: Thought it was about time I started one of these! Havent really done any major mods yet but plan to do this year (thanks to this website!). Got it from vw harrogate in august with 45,000 miles on the clock with the dsg oil and pump changed which saved me a bit of money!

Anyway here's a list of the spec as of when I purchased it!

3dr reflex silver gti
Dsg with paddles
Heated leather
Mfsw
Highline computer
Cruise control
Climate control

So first things first it didn't have a bottle opener so got one of those pretty sharpish as that area is useless without it!

Then another simple mod which brightens it up a bit;

Then I decided to go for my first major (sort of!) mod which was the rns510 fitted by Darren.

Then to go nicely with the rns I got a reversing camera from stevep which again Darren fitted (not easy!). Havnt got any pics of this but will try take some! This is by far the best thing I've done so far, it is so helpful as I found it quite difficult to see out of the back. I don't know how I lived without it to be honest!

Anyway back on with the mods! Then I decided to go black with my badge;

That's all the pics I've got at the moment but I've got Many things lined up. I bought some 18" mk6 monza shadows from greeners so will be putting those on at some point. I also bought an edition 30 splitter from the dealers which set me back £240 and it's booked in to be colour coded on the 7th feb, so when this is all done I'll get some more pics up!

I apologise for the s#%t pics but everyone knows what the iPhone is like!

Yeah had an eye on that, probably will. Will have a few more mods done by then!

Thanks! :happy2: Was a bit unsure at first but getting used to it now! Gonna hopefully get some more pics up when I've had it colour coded and the ed30 splitter put on :happy2:

I'm really happy with them, they look so much better than my 17s. It's weird though because in the flesh they look absolutly huge, but on these pics they look tiny! Oh well I think it needs lowering to finish it off. Thanks for looking! :happy2:

surprised that I think the black badge works so well on a silver GTI, may try that on mine at some point now when I have a bit more black on my car. :wink:

Thankyou. I love it, though if you are getting it coded then you had better get the rear sooner rather than later.

Edition 30 splitter on and colour coded. Went for gloss black exhaust surround as I think it finishes it off brilliantly. I think it looks so much better, and like alot of people think it should have come from the factory like this. Also went back to the silver badge, dont know why really just wanted to go oem. I was pondering whether to do that but decided not in the end. May get it vinyl wrapped in black in the future if that's possible. :happy2:

They were £230 from awesome. I could have probably got them cheaper if I'd looked round a bit more but I got fed up of looking.

Thanks mate. It was a choice between the r32 and ed30 rear for me aswell. Decided on the r32 eventually as I think it's the best looking :wink:

I love the monzas but just fancy a change. Need to sort out the stance aswell, it's riding a little bit too high at the mo.
