Hi all.

Looking for some help please?

If it sounds like a bird stuck in your engine (feathered variety) could need new Cam Belt & Roller. should be done 4yrs or 80,000. just had it done  :happy2:

faulty cam belt tensioner's are common on the tfsi engine, especially from cold.  The noise could be the cam belt slapping about whilst cold.  I had mine changed under warranty, there is quite a lot of info on here if you do a search.  Its worth asking if it has been replaced, its a costly job to have done as the scope of work is the same as having a belt changed.  Obviously if ignored a broken belt will cost a lot more.

If its not the tensioner sticking, and the car oil level is correct (and the right grade) then relax, the TFSI does sound like a diesel on tick over
