im getting worried about mine! 27.3mpg on stage 2+ ...£30 gets me 140miles... And that's me really trying!

While its been cold I have been averaging 29-30 on trip 2 and 350 miles a tank, last summer 32mpg trip 2 and upto 360-370 miles between fill up, with normal driving stock KO3 DSG.  I reset trip 2 with every fill up.

Mines stock DSG , i use an app for my iphone called road trip to keep track and im averaging 27mpg usually about 300-320 every fill up, not good with the price of petrol, Vpower or momentum only :laugh:

It will depend a lot on the length of your journey and your average speed.

I used to commute 5 miles (each way) average ~10mph and got ~24mpg. Trip computer would show 320 after fill up.
I now commute 40 miles (each way) average ~40mph and get ~34mpg.  Trip computer shows 420 after fill up.

This is on stock DSG GTI running super unleaded.. no v-power here :mad:

25mpg for me. 26-27 when trying. Never been over 30.

I usually do short journeys less then 7 miles so only get around 19-23 MPG avg on the MFD (includes some lead foot syndrome)

Last week I did a 70 mile round trip and got around 32 MPG avg on the MFD.

Stock GTI currently with Sainsbury's super unleaded.

I rarely got over 250 miles between fills on the ED30. At 55 litres a tank that worked out at 20.6 mpg. At £1.28 a litre that worked out at £70 a tank and £0.28 a mile.

I now drive a barge with a 2.5 ltr V6 which has a 67 ltr tank and on a tank does 450 ish miles. That is £86 a tank and £0.19 a mile - how's that work?

Edit......oops - my bad, I forgot that now I use 95 ron and the Eddie used pure Shell 99 ron at £1.38 a ltr - so that is £76 a tank and £0.30 a mile!

so in 9k miles a year I'd save £990 in fuel if I kept the barge.

God knows what the REAL world fuel consumption of a stage 2 RS3 will be :rolleye:

About 24 on the way to work an back. Last tank averaged around 29. I havent seen it go over 30 yet!

I get around 28-30mpg and struggle to get over 300miles per tank! 

But that's with a combination of granny style driving and being enthusiastic with the throttle so not too bad I think? :drinking:

I get at least 60+ mpg on every journey. Typically its about 75mpg, sometimes in good weather I can get to 85mpg.
Around 700-800 miles to a tank.
Normal driving on motorway and A roads, sticking to speed limits as and when I can!

lol - Yes, its not a GTI. Its a MK5 Bluemotion - not very fun to drive, and I do miss my ED30 - but loving the savings!!

I'm n a cheaskate GTi manual and lucky if I see 260miles a tank. Average is 25mpg

Cold weather seems to have sapped it as in summer was getting around 29-31mpg and breKing 300+miles to every tank, and that's the same kind of journey to work too

I am getting 27mpg, and 300mpg showing on refill, mixed driving around town and on the A  roads, enthusiastic driving  :smiley:

I reset my MFD last july when i bought the car and at the time it showed 32.6mpg and would give 360 miles on refil, now it shows 22.8 and 300 miles to a tank but only does 280 before another refil of v-power is required! :scared:

i'm running the equivalent of stage 1 but these big heavy lead boots like to hold the pedals to the floor :laugh:

I once got 40mpg on a nice relaxing midnight drive to Doncaster at a steady 55 (average speed cams) but i didnt buy a gti to worry about fuel costs!   :signLOL:

I can just get mine to nip above 30mpg on a 50 mile trip. Average on pos 2 is 27mpg. I must admit I reckon this is crap for a modern car...my mk2 8v would do 35-40 on the same routes.

32 ish iirc on mpg2 380-400 miles on a tank.  Best ive had is 40mpg on my commute when it was snowy and inwas keeping it under 70

35.2 mpg over the last 72 hours or so.

I rarely do less than 100 miles on any trip and is most often along motorways and dual carriageways in or around rush hour. The speed is always between 50 and 70 at those times of day. The times I do get a chance to have a bit of fun are not often enough to alter the overall average consumption.

I also use it occasionally with the family in it so no chance of fun !!

I take great satisfaction in knowing that it is very fast without actually doing it

First week with my GTi and averaged 29.7 so far.......after the weekdn it was 25.6 though after my drive to work on the m25 it's gone up everyday...always goes downa  bit on the way home - must be in more of a rush :)

Well my ED30 is doing about 23/24 and the wifes Cooper Diesel is doing nearer 60. If you've never driven one give it a go , you'll be surprised at how much fun you can have......its the newer 1.6 version and 58 plate....

im only getting about 23 out of stg 1 ed30 but i think it is cause of all the town driving cant get it into 5th never mind 6th on work journeys!

My ED30 stg2+ got 25mpg average over 2000 miles
My ED30 with stock map gets 26mpg average over 2 fillups
 :sad1:

My 335d (350bhp and 590ish ft/lb of torque) gets 34-36mpg per tank.  :star:

42mpg in Ed30 fuelled with V-Power:-)))   70 miles from Maidenhead to Dartford driving 60-70 mph on M4/M25.  Was in no rush so took it easy.  Will more than make up for it at the weekend though!

Average 30.1 mpg since 15 March 2010. Best 34.6 over a tank, worst 25.3 over a tank (in the snow of December). Range normally 380. I use Road Trip for iPhone too.

same as above. Even on a 100 mile journey like i did yesterday I had open B roads and glorious sunshine, which made my foot quite heavy, but still managed to maintain a 30.1 mpg. I get roughly 350 miles per tank...

According to Road Trip on my iPhone I'm getting 52.48mpg over the last 7563miles. Range is 650 after fill up but I generally fill up when I get to 1/4 tank remaining

That's for the Slingshot Diseasel. (Shark Mapped PD140 Octavia DSG Estate)

I use roadtrip for iPhone as well.

My average is 28.33 over the last 8113 miles
Best is 34.39 out of a tank
Worst is 23.31 out of a tank!
