i know everybody has different taste in modding thier cars as the world would be boring if we all had the same taste, but this stance is not what i like

Spoiler for the roofbars..? quick question..I,m carrying 3 surfboards, would it make a difference?
-
Does anybody remember the VW advert with all the modified Golfs crying!
-
I quite like it  pretty sure the roof bars are only for show. It looks like he might get loads of inside tyre wear
-
Out of interest what does that do to the tyres ?
-

........i do & think is a case for it. :sad1:
-
Why ohh why ohh why!!
-

....Wears the insides down to the canvas while leaving the tread still deep across the rest of the tyre. It's the same as having too much negative camber on a road car. So very expensive on tyres and not exactly safe although a car set up like that can't go fast safely.
As a rough guide: Recommended on the fronts (FWD), half-a-degree negative camber for a fast road car and one degree for frequent track use. You'll probably see uneven tyre wear even on three-quarter degree toe out.
Personally, although it may be all the latest fad, I think it's stupid and a waste of a V6 R32. :stupid: [/end of lecture by a 63yo dad dude]

Coming from a long aircooled background where if I wasn't neg I wasn't rolling I totally love that
-
thats look absolute crap. Hate the slammed look on a car.
-

nightmare dream about you last night! HAhaha! I've only just remembered.
And thankyou for finding my bag for me (In my dream   )
-

IMHO cars are for driving, sporty type cars hard!
This not only looks sh*t but will also handle like sh*t.
Whats the point of spoiling a sports car, some may disagree with that, by making it look like that and being unable to drive it how it should be?
Don't get me wrong I like looking at nice cars but I am not big on visual modding a la Performance VW Mag.
I am also not big on cleaning cars either, its there to be driven, I enjoy driving somtimes fast sometimes slow but the 2-3 hours to clean could be spent driving it.
Also the dirtier it looks the less likely it will get nicked!
And now this has made me so mad I have digressed(spelt wrong?)!

:signLOL: - Witty as ever, TC :notworthy: [Watch out! Hedge incoming!!]
But I mostly agree with h4rdy: Performance cars are for driving!
I would only add that well used verbage: Each To Their Own :happy2:
-
They call it "hellaflush".
I call it "stupid".
My aircooled won't be like that neither :P I actually intend to drive the thing.
-
So hurry up then and finish it then :signLOL:
You know I have a cal look bug too
As for the slammed look some people just don't get it but then some of them drive autos and think they are cool :P

:signLOL: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:
I get it, but I just don't want to do it. It's a bit like wearing your jeans with the waist below your bum - Your movements are severely restricted and just for the sake of looking like a cool teenager. Not my bag - Air or otherwise
-
:notworthy: Love it!
Wouldnt do it to a car of my own but still love the look.
-
I love this car! Especially the colour!

Ooh, through up some pics of the bug!
I just got the front beam bolted on (finally) yesterday with some GB castor shims, leaves/arms/dropped spindles going on next week

I can believe the amount of work that goes into one, doing a full pan-off resto to the Karmann... I thought it would take a couple of months when I started :surprised: it'll be two years in May but I'm trying to get it at least rolling by then...
Got a pic of the engine bay? What setup are you running? I'm currently thinking of a 2L, and being foolish I've already bought some DRLAs...
-
Love the look of the R32. Great colour. But wouldn't dare do it to my car.

Oooops sorry!
If it helps to redeem myself I owned a '67 split up until last year which I sold to buy my ED30!
-
i love slammed, but that looks GASH!!!! nice colour but the camber and wheel size ruins the car, are they 21"?
GHAY :signLOL:

i like the golf, and love mats bug.
it just comes down to personal taste again, everything isn't always going to everyones liking...as long as the jap bloke who owns it is happy, thats all that matters. It looks better with white wheels instead of gold thats for sure!!!!!
roof bars have to go tho, they are pooooo!!!!!
