I think sportlines are sportlines mate, the drop is always the same. Some companys advertise the drop from a standard golf ride height which is 15mm higher than the GTI/ED30/GT.

Thanks for the info :happy2:
The sportlines drop is more than the other eibach's right?
-
Yes the other Eibachs are the Pro's. Only about 15mm drop on the GTI.
Some say they cant tell its been dropped.
-
:drinking: cheers
-
No problem mate :happy2:

I'm awaiting the time off work to fit a set of sportlines and TBH i was kind of worried by the quoted 35/50mm drop, i thought it might have been too low for the speedhumps around here and my drive entrance, but, i've got them and they're going on soon! I'll post a thread with pics so future purveyors of the sportline springs can see a true visual appearance of before and after. Might come in useful??
Could be soon, I hope! :happy2:
-
That would be great, cheers!
-
It'll be this saturday when i crawl under the car, skin all my knuckles, probably half bleed to death and crack myself in the nuts to boot...... but i will have these fitted at the end of it all!
I'll post some pics when it's all done! :happy2:

Not a GTI/ED30 but here is my GT with sportlines and 18"
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fm520%2Fapoll013%2FDSC01363.jpg&hash=82c853b11ba257f4f2db9bdcdd90241883ae4f18)
They say its a 35/50mm drop but like I said before the GTI/ED30 and GT are already 15mm lower than standard so its really a 20/35mm drop...
They have only been on a week or so and I'm hoping they will settle a bit.
-
So after a week on the car.... whats your verdict???
-
Well I don't drive the car much but it handles much better in the corners and is slightly firmer but not spine breaking in anyway.
I can't complain as they only cost me £50
