Title: Short notice but a great opportunity for someone!
Post by: PDT on February 08, 2011, 06:12:39 pm
I am holding a training session for one of our customers based around the use of dynos and live mapping, this is happening on Thursday the 10th of Feb (2 days time)

I was hoping to take my own Golf down but this is no longer an option so have to take my BMW, ideally we need a FWD 2.0tfsi, either DSG or Manual for about 2 hours, in return we will fully custom map the car including dyno testing for just £150. This will be one of our own maps that we will create for the car on the day (not REVO) and you will be able to return to our Hounslow outlet for any future work/changes to the map if required.

Any takers?

Doh. I'd be in, if my car weren't broken. I'm looking for a new map.

What was the map he had on his car?

^^
Superchips. Produced 250bhp once, but has been stuck at 230 for ages. JKM said it wasn't boosting enough, seems to peak at 1.1 and hold at 0.9bar, and I don't really want to pay for a stage 2 upgrade. Was thinking of heading REVO but all my moolah's being spent on the Karmann Ghia to get it ready for this summer.

Dodgy map still on there, the fuel filler flap solenoid failed completely the other day, some big rock put a dent in the wing, I need new wheels and tyres, and I get the occasional misfire which is more likely than not coil or plug related, plus there's some wear showing on a few bits of trim. Plus that strange startup issue where sometimes it doesn't rev quite right on startup requiring a blip of the throttle (electronic choke issue?). So there's a few things wrong :/ car showing her age I guess. Really I want the engine rebuilt but I'm going to finish the Ghia first, and then do the Golf.

Take it you got a car for that day?

If you ever need another then give me a shout.

Have a box standard 2.0t FSi with the new D rev DV.

Willing to map and dyno for that price.
