Hi all,
Realised the other day that this is not working when I indicate, It's not a bulb issue as they run off LED's.
Been quoted £22+Vat for a new board, but wondered if anyone could enlighten me on what the problem may be or if it's just a dodgy circuit before i spend my 'hard earned' cash?
Thanks :happy2:

If you have vcds get it plugged in and do a test on the indicator.
Failing that get the door card off and check the connector is in properly take it out and push it back in.

Did you resolve this issue BA ?
Mine has just failed the MOT as the drivers side mirror indicator is not flashing and no amount of technical taps is gonna get it working.
How does one replace the indicator part ?
Cheers

There's a link somehwere. Type inpro into the search and look for a link in one of the threads.

Is this it (http://golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103242&highlight=removing+side+mirror+housing)
Is it common for these to fail ? or should I be checking other things before commiting to buying a new one?
I assume it will be a stealer for a new one ?
cheers

Yup. You can either go with OEM or take advantage to go for smoked ones.

I have just had an MOT, and this was not raised as an issue (not sure if they even noticed it)
Have not got around to fitting mine yet, going to wrap them orange I think.
Bought mine off ebay for £15 , £9 cheaper than the stealers, and a genuine part too.

Managed to get to Stealer for opening time this morning get new indicator unit strip and fit and to the MOT place for 9.. hopefully they'll squeeze a re-test in at some point today.
Cheers all for your assistance.
