Title: Shell V-Power Club but as yet no vouchers!

Just a quick question about the Shell loyalty card, I have had one and been using only  V power and the other day a V power club card plopped through the letter box but as yet I have never once received the fuel vouchers which I specified when I registered the card.  They clearly have my address right and have logged the fact that I only ever use the good stuff but not that im worthy of any money off for my loyalty.

Can any one fill me in on how often they do there voucher runs?

I've had their card for maybe a year. I got fed up of waiting for vouchers so I emailed Shell. Their response was that my address hadn't been properly recorded when the card was first registered (my fault - forgot to enter the house number, I think). They said the vouchers would come out in Feb (every three months). Nothing's arrived.

I think all of those who've not received any comms should email Shell. A set of emails might prompt them to do something.

You have to fill up with a pretty serious amount of vpower to get the vouchers  :signLOL:

You also need to ensure youve chosen Fuel Vouches as the reward on their website after youve logged into your card account.

As for how often, I generally get my vouchers and a V magazine (their own magazine about ferraris and what not) once a quarter

Try driversclub@shell.co.uk though they seem to prefer you to log in and contact then via their form (you still need to give the same details as if contacting via email).

I had the same story. I have had my V-Power card after they sent it to me and still claimed that my address was wrong. Any excuse. Sorted out now but still no vouchers despite several thousand points.

I spend a small fortune with them (Ok so maybe not as much as Hedge) and get fcuk all.  I have tried phoning and emailing, as well as confirming my details are correct on the website - Still nothing.

Same here. Been with them for months and never had anything. I gave up contacting them now  :sad1:

Nobody spends as much as Hedge on Fuel. He does, after all, run a car with the fuel consumption of an Aircraft Carrier :grin:

Ok well sounds like its not just me then, I was starting to wonder about the address etc but then the V-Power card found its way to me, will have to double check on the site again regarding the fuel vouchers!  At least I now get a form of cash back/point with the barclaycard freedom scheme that shell joined although I might have to move to Tesco if they dont sort out the fuel vouchers at least you can get reward points and use them!

only ever received vouchers once for £5 and that was when i had the standard card, since i was upgraded to vpower one about 9 months ago I have received nothing. i stick in 25ltres of the stuff once or twice each weekend to satisfy my   :driver:  fix

My vouchers always come through on time BUT i did have a few problems to start with.Went to a small Shell garage on Saturday & V-Power there was £1.37.9 a litre !!! :scared:.£1.34.9 at my local one.

Guys, when you were moved up to the Shell V-Power Club and were sent the new Club card, was it a seemless transaction or did you have to register the new card?  I would have thought it seemless but I can't log onto my account using the membership number on my new card.  I did wonder if I was entering the password incorrectly so requested a reminder but I get a message saying "Invalid user/There is no user with such data/" when entering my e-mail address and date of birth.  P*ss flaps!

I have yet to find anywhere useful to spend my barclaycard money lol ive got quite alot on there too. Where have you found to use it up rich?

I had to register my card after being moved up at www.shell.co.uk/driversclub first. Get voucher letter every few months, had one June 2010, September 2010 and November 2010. Am expecting the next set through the post soon  :smiley:

I get my fuel money off vouchers every 3 months too. :jumpmove:
The problem I have is that the cards sometimes give up, and the process of getting a new one sorted is awful.

Just checked my balance and it is over 10000. I hope according to their statement dates that they should cough in Feb.

In my case they had my house number, town where I live and post code but didn't send anything because they didn't have my street. I pointed out a Google search would have given them the correct details and in fairness house number and post code should be enough.

I think it is just any excuse not to pay out but having been through the pain if I don't get anything I will go medieval at them.  :fighting:

I've been filling up at shell for the last 2 years about 60 pound a week and never received anything can never be bothered chasing it up went on the website once and my address and everything was there and set to vouchers didn't know what was wrong wonder if I would get all those vouchers back if I emailed them

Not looked into spending them to be honest, I already had the card so just switched putting the fuel onto the credit card rather than debit and pay it off at the end of the month.  Will have to have a look at some point to see if there is something interesting, was hoping they might start doing me some money towards fuel!

I guess I've been lucky. Always received vouchers and magazine every few months (quarter I expect). I've had the Shell card before V-Power started - I think it was called Opti-something, but well over 5 years ago. Pity my godfather isn't still alive, he was fairly senior in Shell and I expect I could have done something to help, especially being a Greek.

What pisses me off though is not being able to also add the Shell points in Europe. I've spoken to them about that several times and the answer always is that they haven't got the mechanism for it... Then why don't they fecking set it up! Makes a mockery of a unified Europe.

like robin, i get vouchers every quarter, typically 5 pounds or so which is good given the wife and i only fill up twice per month for each of our cars.

well just been on looking at my account I have 1,100 points sat there.  All details were as they should be but the new v-power card wasnt linked to my account, had to sign in with my old card, I have added the v-power card to the account as a recent fill up on saturday (first with the new card) wasnt registered on the history.  Let see if that helps with some vouchers!

Also seen that you can now earn points by online shopping through the shell portal with some big chains to rack points up quicker, black circles were on there currys pc world dixons as well Dell Apple HMV etc Also Tesco might be a good way to rack up some extra points if you have any purchases already planned!

As im sure you know robin.. that is utter BS! In a digitalised ages, ANYTHING is possible but it requires willing, something which obviously Shell dont have.

Im a little against these fuel cards because it actually saves you very little but forces your hand to use certain garages. If they want my business exclusively, they will have to make me a better offer than a fancy V-Power card and a 5pound voucher every quarter.

My V power card has always been fine as well. Did login and tick the receive petrol vouchers thou. Magazine and vouchers come roughly as others have said. Magazine does have a few bits worth reading + some nice motors. Don't expect much in the way of fuel vouchers thou considering what you shell out!

My car needs 98+RON. Either T99 or V-power. I have 4 shell garages within a 3 mile radius, the closest about 1.5 miles away. Compare this to one Tesco garage about 3 miles away. Irrespective of the cards, I'd still use Shell.

Me too. I exclusively use V-Power, not because of any loyalty card but because I believe it's best for my car. I suppose that I do feel a degree of 'loyalty' to Shell but only due to my godfather as I mentioned earlier but it's more in rememberance of him as he was very supportive.

Yes, Shell could easily set up a global European points network if they wanted to.

i get mine twice a year and its normally about 7 quid! thats with filling the tank about 50 liters of VPower a week! it is a con but i will always use VPower over anything else so its nice to get a little something now and then!  :smiley:

Seems I have finally got to the bottom of my vouchers, or the lack of them.

For some reason my account had 3 cards linked, I think from when they upgraded my standard one to V-Power.  I only use the one card which has all the correct details for my current abode however one of the other cards has details of a previous address and you can guess where they were sending my vouchers!!

Yep you have to enable the v-power card when you receive it as it won't link to your account automatically. You should be sorted now.  :smiley:

I don't have a Shell Drivers Club card yet but when I asked for one last week they didn't have any. Looks like it might not be worth the hassle of getting one seeing as it's pot luck if you receive any vouchers!

Try this freefone number instead: 0800 7318888 (Shell Customer Service) and do it for free!

Hmmm....Logged into my shell account. I have 322 points! That means I've "redeemed" 2300 points, which equates to £11.50 in money-off vouchers.  :laugh:

Still no sign of them, but we shall see what happens over the next few days.

Spooky all this chat is, last night put £50 of V-Power in at the rather steep price of 139.9. Which was 10p more than their boggo unleaded.
Has it always been ten pence more than their cheap lager?

I like others on here prefer to give the car a drop of this rather than anything else and although i've been using Shell 'super' for a while since the Optimax days, I have never bothered to register any points card, only through laziness really.
I had a Shell card about 12 months back, but never got it registered and as I haven't a clue where it is, so when last night I was offered another loyalty card, I got one with the definite thought that this weekend I really will send it off or register on the net. 
Seems like it might not be worth wasting my time on that though.

Hope I don't look back on this post in future weeks and say 140p per litre...wow that was cheap back in Feb 2011.

I paid 145p a litre for V-Power last Thursday night on the A303. I hadn't actually noticed but simonp who was with me in convoy pointed it out. Don't know how true this is but I've heard that prices may go up to as much as 177p.

I notice that the minimum fill to qualify for bonus points is now 30 litres. It was 25 litres until recently. So it'll be 31 litre visits for me now instead of 26.

ive never had an issue, my points get converted to airmiles though, i still get regular post too (about once a month) and a mag once a quarter

this morning i got 2 vouchers for 1000 bonus points on fill up, 100 points if i buy something comic relief related, and 100 points if i buy something from the deli

I disagree I think its an excellent freebee with some good motorsport articles.

Well I finally got my first lot of vouchers through with my v-zine magazine today, was only 1000 points there to use which got me a £5.00 or £5.50 if using over 20 litres, added to that a free coffee at my local shell in Mottingham better than a kick in the teeth.  Only skim read the magazine looks interesting although for me its got too many pictures of a smug spaniard who I detest with his big chin and red clothing!  Also find it funny that in a magazine sent to people who predominantly use v-power fuel why advertise v-power fuel through-out?  Surely they should be trying to get us to start putting shell engine oil and screen wash in!!!  :stupid:

Ive missed the cut apparantly with only 492points since registering, but can earn 300 points if I fill 30 litres or more 5 times within March.

At least they have my address now, should surely receive a V-Power card soon though for double points.

....I'm on the same. It was 5 x 25 litres last two months. No magazine yet though.

£10 today and bearing in mind my Eddy as been tucked away since late last year I'm quite chuffed! Although saying that the bulk of my points may have come from the nice lady on the Shell stand at Autosports!!  :evilgrin:

Did you try contacting them? I emailed them and it took three emails over as many months to ensure I got my vouchers.

Email them (you have to add in your DOB and postcode I think) and they should reply to you. Either it'll have been something you've done wrong eg incorrect postcode or something equally silly, or it's their fault.

You should be looking at around £15 for that little point stash based on my £5.50 for 1000 points
