Title: New member intro
Post by: Scousus maximus on February 14, 2011, 07:44:47 pm
Hi all, after lurking and skulking for a while thought I'd best make a move. I'm on a few VAG forums and enjoy picking up info and listening to the banter etc.
I drive an EOS 2.0 TDi with DSG,  Nappa leather and Sport pack.
No mods so far but have bought an RNS 510 and just about to fit it with premium bt. Hope to meet some of you at the fests in the future,
Regards,
John

A Warm Welcome, John!  :drinking: If you've been lurking you'll already know who's who.

Are you by any chance related to Scousus Minimus aka Top Cat?

Hi and welcome.

We don't discriminate against non-GTIers (much! ). Start a thread in the members' rides section and get some pics up1

I'll get pics up next week when it comes back from body repair shop. Some lowlife reversed into me in Tesco car park  and left me with a ding in rhr qtr panel. Local police (Cleveland, spot on) got him and he's getting done and paying for my repair. Spoils the feel of the car though. I'm sure once the weather picks up and the roof's in the boot I'll get over it!

welcome mate.

what did you pay for the RNS510 ?

Got it on Darren's recommendation from a lad called N13KKF on the R32OC site. It's version C, LED screen with V7 maps. Paid £550+£20 p&p. I'm on Darren's "to do list" currently.

Andy, we met at a MKIV meeting some time ago in Darlo, hello again!

That's Nick. I got mine from him and he even fitted it for me. Top guy :happy2:

The LED version is great and v7 maps with full postcode search is brilliant :happy2:
