Title: Brake Disc Sizes

Hey Folks,

I was told at my last service there that i need new left  front and rear Brake Discs and Pads - was quoted £490 from the local VW specialist.

Obv i i have no intention of contributing to the Robbers summer holiday! So i ended up having a wee look on ebay and figured i would replace all the break discs and pads.

Can anyone tell me what size of front and rear discs i should be getting. I have a bog standard 05 Gti and no boy racer.


I had a look on ebay and found Mtec ones - anyone had any dealings with these? It was a package for £189 for Mtec discs and Mintex pads

i emailed the company and they asked what size of discs i wanted - so if anyone has some sound advice about sizes and even alternative webistes/companies to buy from please get in touch.

312mm vented front

286mm solid rear

Use the discount code SERSAVE on Euro car parts as posted by Mr VRSCarl for 20% off  :happy2:

I think this is only valid on their standard range though not performance.
