Spotted in the Portsmouth area being driven like it was stolen and not driven by RedRobin!
I was at JKM last week and a guy arrives in another red Mk5 GTI (not on this forum) and expresses surprise and relief on seeing me. He had just spotted my car being driven by someone else. It was of course, JKM's Keith who was out with a laptop testing all was well after my coilpack failure.

You had me worried then for a split second!
-
you had me going thier R/R
-
....You should know me well enough by now to already know I'm easily confused.
-
Has the coil pack fixed the issues that were identified on the RR?

....For a moment it had the guy who spotted my car a bit worried too.

at first i thought it was the vwr car as i have it outside my house now :signLOL: i was thinking they know i have it :signLOL:

....Yes thanks :happy2:. The random and not often misfire under load was indeed the coilpack as suspected by JKM at the dyno session you attended.
All running sweet now, tracked and aligned, just needing the front wheel arches sorted.

....Ah, that explains why the Red Temptress is never at VWR when I visit - You've got her. I thought they had sold her.

When I saw the titile, I thought it might've been posssible. Then I saw the poster and wondered whether it was a case of cloned plates. Then I saw the letters J, K and M. Suddenly everything made sense!

I was relying on the "?" in the title to give it away. A slightly pointless thread in some ways, but it did make the guy Stoo wonder.

Excellent! What issue are you having with the arches?

^ Paint lifted after arch liners gently pushed up to avoid tyre rub only when cornering very hard indeed on things like tight small roundabouts or very sharp turns. It's a paint issue not a rust warranty issue. I think I've found someone who can help me out repairing them.
