I have a silver 3 door GT Sport and that looks exactly how I would mod mine bar the addition of an ED30 front lip, looks great.

Very nice work, you really are cranking up the mods. The PDC are not the OEM are they, mine are located in the upper part of the rear bumper.

At this rate you will be updating the thread more often than anyone on here mate.
Motor looks nice, like the front end.
Though never been a fan of parking sensors, only needed on estates and mini busses as it spoils the clean rear look imo,
How come you decided to put them in when you have the reversing  camera already in?

Nice car mate and mods lift it nicely. Noticed the chrome rings on your heater controls, have you got a link to them? I just got some off e bay but they're marked so they're going back. Got some alloy knobs too which look ok " in the hand" but I'll reserve judgement until they're on. Anybody know if the knobs just pull off? I'll post pics once my RNS is in and dash re-built.

Man, you got seriously nice taste in mods. I literally had this car's equivelant albeit in Mk4 form. Right down to the BBS CH's.  :happy2: Liking the progress of this build. I've just recently got myself into the MK5 world and looking to put a GTI spoiler on my GT TDI. Was there much work involved in the process? What do you have to do with the 3rd brake light?

Cheers

Dodds

hi dude

thanks for the complements  :happy2:
the spoiler was a genuine one so easy to fit and paint (so my body shop tell me )   :signLOL:
there is a small rounded section that goes round the high level brake light so it can be seen as normal.

Im looking for a genuine gti spoiler
Is there any mods you need to make it fit or does it just bond on without affecting the brake light?

Hey Demon, you cudn't tell me the specs of your CH's? I've got a chance of buying some soon and wouldn't mind if they looked as good as yours. Think the one's I'm looking at are 18x8" possibly ET45. I know I might need the 'front arch screw mod' but I'm at standard ride height atm so shouldnt be too bad.

Also how much of a drop did you see with the Apex kit?

Hope the car's going well

Cheers

Hi dude
Tbh I just went into my local wheel specialist and said I want them in 18". They are really good so I didn't even ask. I havnt done anything to the arches and hasnt rubbed ever....
The apex kit dropped by 30mm and I ended up buying some rear coil overs to get the ass down.
Thanks dude , pm if you need anything as she maybe stripped and going. Still in 2 minds atm

Hi,

Great looking car you have there.

Shame to hear you're thinking of stripping it. What head unit is that? Would you be interested in selling it if you do strip? I have a black gt tdi 140 and would like to do a few similar mods.

WOW! demon666 you are my modding hero! I too could only afford a GT FSi and its great to see how these mods look, before I attempt them. I am loving the GTi spoiler... does that just attach to the existing rear? Also love the side skirts, wheels, centre console and LOVE the GT Sport front bumper, was that easy to fit?
I feel I'll be asking you lots of questions in the future... I'm off to search eBay.

Just one more thing... what did you do with the GT steering wheel you first fitted before putting the GTi one on?

Quick question relating back to the first page, swmbos new GT has the nasty tray on top of the dash, I see you have fitted an air vent.  How much was this and where did you get it.....also, are they easy to fit?

Cheers, Lee.

hi mate

the spoiler is designed to be bonded to the top of the standard on , its a genuine vw one
gti rear clips onto the standard top section
the front bumper is a nightmare if you do it right ,you need to change the slam panel. i was not will to cut stuff off as some guys do to make it fit
sold the standard gt wheel

hi lee

the climate vent is very simple to fit , it uses the same fixing points as the normal tray. ebay is a good place to look for one
