Hi all.
Looking to upgrade to a mk6 mltifunction wheel. I currently have a 2005 GTI with midline.
I want to get my cruise control to work. I've been told that the steering wheel needs a module to get it to work,
Does anyone have a list of what needs doing to get the steering wheel to work please and also a rough cost.
-
Ooh! forgot to mention in my PM Al, you will also need a Mk 6 cruise stalk, i have not got round to replacing mine yet, but you can offset the cost by selling the mK5 one. :happy2:

Cheers man, any idea on the cost of a MK6 cruise stalk? does it just fit in the same as the MK5 one?
-
Yes same fitting, think they are about 60 squids. :happy2:

In that case I have a spare cruise control stalk, a cruise wire, and a MK5 module that is not needed! Oh well, off to the for sale section for all of those then
-
Al, I might have a brand new CH version steering wheel controller if your interested :happy2:
-
I cant post in the for sale section, how much for the cruise control bits as a whole?
I take it you need it all to get it working?
cheers

That would be great Steve, do you have any idea what else I would need then, is it just the wheel, airbag and cruise stalk.
-
And a version C slip ring :happy2:

Hi Derek.
£90 for all 3 posted. :happy2:
Don't think you need anything else to get it to work other than vag-com/VCDs
Though check the part numbers that I have put up in the original sale thread and check with VW or people here. :innocent: :innocent:

Cool beans dude, think they are pretty cheap, PM me a price for the module and take it from there.
Does anyone have a part number the c ring, or the cost of one? :happy2:
-
Al, you probably already have a C version slip ring.
-
If only it was that easy!
What is the MK 5 module you mention? Presume you mean the controller?
-
For reference for others aswell as Al when I fitted my MK6 MFSW I used the following
Steering controller - 1K0-953-549-CH
Cruise stalk - 1K0-953-513 G
Slip ring - 1K0-959-653-C (which was already in the car from stock)
