Hey Dom.

You may wanna' check and amend the FS link in your signature, I don't think it works or links to the correct page which could of course defer potential buyers  :scared:

As for the Eagles... I remember seeing them in the old wembley with my rents, and we left early, cos they weren't on form that night!

Nice looking .:R. I prefer them bra-less. Looking good lowered too  :notworthy:

What was your opinion about the Unibrace strut? - Most folks seem to think that it greatly improves the Mk4 but not needed for the Mk5.

Well with the uprated suspension which i was running rather stiff, i felt it made a hell of a difference, like you could feel it difference... I would like to get another one for this car... but it's gonna be a long road... Bet it's a mod i'd definately do! And it's sooo well made and looks ace! Especially when you take the extremely heavy rear seats out!

....You're not helping! The Unibrace was once on my mods-to-do list and then was taken off the list and now...............

Wel if you've uprated your suspension, with bushes, coilovers, arb's etc then it's a must, especially on track day cars...

It felt like it takes away that inital roll when turning into a corner, it's just feels sharper, like the chassis is twisting less before the turn in starts...

....I told you you're not helping!! :fighting:

[Thanks for that info - It's actually the first time I've heard anyone describe the Unibrace benefits in practical detail]  :drinking:

Do you ever take yours in and out, and how easy is it? I'm thinking it might interefere with sometimes carrying a full size Kurzweiller keyboard!

I never took mine out apart from when I sold, and i locktited the threads, but it literally took 3-4mins to remove... Took a bit longer to install as it all needs to line up well, drilling and putting the rivnuts in etc, and install on level ground!

No...the R went in October  :stupid: along with the other VW's, now got an A6 and S3 Audi... :driver: Not been to any more meet either, but must try and get along to the next one... :popcornsoda: Krispy Cremes yummy.

So have you also sold your R and bought an ED30 then?

Sold the R stupidly last December... Since then have had a Civic Type-R, Audi S3 1.8t 225bhp, BMW 330Clubsport, BMW 330Ci Sport Convertible and Mk4 Golf 1.4s... so is nice to be back in a Mk5 Golf!

Wow some nice motors in that lot... :signLOL: Our S3 is the current version but a Black Edition, the wife loves it but still misses her little Polo GTI..
