i swapped a wheel for a Lady in distress a couple of months ago and the brakes on her Volvo C70 looked exactly the same and it made me wonder.
Be good to know if they are
-
Could be. I think they are made by ATE so fair game for other manufacturers.
-
If they are, you can be sure you'll pick up a used set of those much cheaper than a set of R32's!!!
-
its back in for tyres soon so i will have a better look at the fittings

Get the tape measure out.

The XC90 discs are 30mm thick too! But i dont think they are 345mm, that doesnt really matter tho!

:popcornsoda:

Chap at work has a XC90.
-
looking at them pics,i think the difference is where the flexi pipe goes
-
Yes.. they dont appear to have the bracket on the back which accepts the flexi hose

think the flexi has a metal end that screwas into the caliper..but if thats the only difference then you could get some flexi's made
oop Rich beat me to it
-
focus st and mazda mps3 are the same aswell I think

Yeah Focus ST is the same albeit with a 320mm disc, Mazda MPS 3 and MPS 6, Volvo XC90 as stated as well as a couple of other Volvos, Vectra 2.8T VXR, Saab 95's with the big motors in and the list no doubt goes on and on....

Has Beddie said the caliper is used across the board on bigger power cars, but what you would need to look at is the offset and disc size? plus the caliper mounting hole position and measurements.
Because the calipers on other manufacturers models are fixed ie the carrier is made for the car, BUT whether it would be cheaper to buy some cheap calipers and then buy the carriers from the dealer :happy2:
Best person to to see this thread would be DaveB see what he thinks.
