Title: Xenon light question.
Post by: jaffa666 on February 19, 2011, 01:29:08 pm
Hey troops, a quick question for those anoraks out there. I have xenons lights on the golf just now with auto lights.
My question is if I where to sell these or px them with standard lights, would these be a simple swap or would coding be needed. If coding is needed can someone with vagcom do it or is it a dealer job.
Reason I am asking is if all goes according to plan I might be returning to a focus st.  :ashamed: I like the golf and with petrol the price it is, prob silly to go back to a 2.5 turbo but miss the noise and the drivin experience too much.
So I was just wondering what was involved in swapping lights over as I might sell them and make a few quid for petrol money that the st will be more than happy to drink.

Any advice would be great. Cheers.

Are your xenons factory fit one? Or were they Retro fitted?

You'd need to convert the car loom to go back to normal halogen lamps, and as far as Im aware there isnt a ready made loom for this available
