Never heard of them, but you can pick up an RCD510 second hand for 280-300 ish usually so would be inclined to advise that over the BEAT one.
-
Got a Pioneer AVIC- F920BT in mine.
-
does the RCD510 play dvd's ?
-
never mind , did my research.
RCD510 doesn't play DVD Films
im after a decent double din that plays dvd films for my kids to watch on long motorway journeys

Ok after much reading, ALOT lol, I'm going to buy an RNS510 with video in motion working
Few questions..
Am I safe buying a version B and installing it into a December 2007 Golf GTI
Without needing a canbus.?
I hear there is a lot of power drain from version C and a lot of people needing canbus to get it
Working properly.or is power drain down to firmware updates?
Any help and advice would be great before I buy one off eBay
Thanks

My friend who works as a tehnician at VW here in Croatia said that all my2008 golfs have the upgrated can bus and no power drain problems with the RNSs

As above, depends on the year of your car.
If its less than 2008 you will probably need a CAN Gateway upgrade to be sure.
Not too hard to fit as long as you don't mind being upside down on your back with a brake pedal in chewing distance
Seriously though, if you have someone local with VCDS, they can scan your CAN Gateway and find out which version, in turn whether you need to upgrade it.

PS> Good shout on the RNS510 :)

im good friends with someone down at are local dealership so he would check it for nothing.
