Title: Wheel fitment
Post by: vRS_Pagey on February 20, 2011, 05:20:49 pm
Just after the definative answer here, will a MK6 wheel fit a MK5 and thus by default a MK2 Octavia?

I only ask because I have the opportunity to buy a set of 16" MK6 steelies to use with winter tyres on the vRS.  :happy2:

Yes they are the same PCD (5 x 112)

I guessed the PCD would be the same and as long as the offset isn't much lower than ET 45 they should be ok, but I have found conflicting information regarding the centre bore, the 2 main sizes are quoted 57.1 or 66.1, I'm sure the MK2 Octavia and MK5 Golf are the former?!?

Just get a Spigot if thats the case.

Just looked on ETKA but it doesn't say what the Centre Bore is.

Yes they are the same. I just put the part no. in to see what cars they fit

It's an insert for the bore so if you had a 66.1 wheel you could get a spigot to reduce it to 57.1 and therefore fit the hub :happy2:

This is the wheel part number: 5KO 601 027. Carl can you or anyone else with ETKA confirm the spec is correct to fit MK5?

You mong. :P

The correct part no. is 5K0 601 027 not 5KO :booty:

It fits the following. (But it doesn't mean they won't fit a MK5 or an Octy)

I copy and pasted from the advert so blame them for grammatic errors!!  :booty:

What I really need is the specifications.....offset etc!

ET50  :surprised:  that could possibly rule them out then!  Iirc the 18" Zenith is 7.5J ET51, if thats correct they will sit inboard a further 12mm..................unless I fit spacers they will look uber carp!! :sad1:

The DRL's have 2 purposes.

1. They illuminate the boot and 2. If i do pirouette into a ditch i can open the boot to signal the rescue planes .

You should know by now i don't care what others think. As long as i amuse myself then it's water off a ducks back to me :booty: :P
