Sorry for a real short and pointless thread but I've searched google, and searched here and I can't find it anywhere! I am looking to find out how many valves the gti ed30 has? Can't find it anywhere
Cheers

16, same as GTI, I reckon but am not 100% sure.

Yep they have 16 (4 per cylinder 2 Inlet & 2 Exhaust)
8 Inlet Valves - Part No. 06D 109 601 M
8 Exhaust Valves - Part No. 06D 109 611 H
You will also need springs
8 Inlet Valve Springs - Part No. 06E 109 623 H
8 Exhaust Valve Springs - Part No. 06E 109 623 A

This has made me wonder why they made a backward step from the 20 valves they used on the mk4 GTI. Cheaper to manufacture maybe?

This was going to be my next question! :popcornsoda:

Lots of extra weight at a high vertical c of g position, does the TFSI not inject straight into the cylinder? not much room for 5 valves and an injector if so

It also means you can stick the spark plug in the middle.
