I knew these tyres were bad news!
Not only to they have about as much grip as pornstars front bum... they have gone massively out of shape on the inside edge. The tyres have been on 6 months and done just under 10K miles.
Took my car to Wheels in Motion in Chesham to get the balancing sorted out, and the tech showed my the wheel spinning on the machine. Not only were both wheels about 70g out of balance but both (left more than the right) have massive deviation on the inside edge. The balancing has helped but the vibration is still there at XX MPH
They want 140 for contis sc2 and 150 for michelins ps3.... EACH! (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myemoticons.com%2Fimages%2Fcommunicate%2Feveryday%2Ffalling-off-chair-laughing.gif&hash=743781c281fbd9d08b62e6332832dc26c29c8123)

Mines already had its 40k and DSG Service...i saw in the invoice for it. Luckily before my ownership

At least once its had this service (which i think i'm going to stagger strategically [service/DSG] [cambelt]) it will be good for a while.
The expense is worth it.

I got the 43K Longlife with plugs and DSG service on mine done for £392 couple of weeks back, cambelt should come in around £299 on the fixed price scheme and an extra £80 for the waterpump, ouch!

Im going to the VW garage tomorrow (in doncaster) so ill get a quote then. They are usually a fair bit cheaper than most garages. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft329%2Flisette9_album%2Ffingerscrossed.gif&hash=8c81506b45a8009079a6163fb134c3488b020712)
