Title: rear speaker wires

ive searched a few sites now and cant find the answer

i have a 07 mk5 gti which has no rear spaeakers i was wondering if anyone has removed there rear door cards on a 5 doors who did not have rear speakers as standard if there are wires there or not

I think your best bet is to search on UK-mkivs.net. There are people on there who have posted about this with their Mk5 Golfs ('s' models).

I would think highly unlikely.  VW don't tend to put 'additional' wires in.

no its not an import as far as i know

i cant find anything about this on other forums if you have seen a link

can u link me please

does not seem anyone knows if there are wires in the rear doors if there are no speakers

As above I really don't think you will have but simple answer is to take the door card off, surely better than believing hearsay on an internet forum.

A UK spec car should have at least 8 speakers - 10 if is an early model or a later model with the soundpack.  Are you sure they are physically not there?  Could be a fault with the wiring from the HU (or with the HU itself). Its worth mentioning, and please don't be offended but have you checked that the sound setting of the HU allow the rear speakers to operate?
