Well finally, I have found my Porsche 911. its been a long time coming (approx 37 years - from birth!). I paid the deposit today on the following car;
2006/06 Carrera 2S Manual
49000 miles
Seal grey
19" Carrera Sport wheels
Sunroof
PCM and phone
PDC
Sports chrono plus
Rear wiper (I cant believe this is an option)
BOSE
CD changer
Multifunction steering wheel
Floor mats with leather edging ( option???)
The car has just had new front and rear discs and pads, 3 new tyres and a full 111 point inspection. I have also got them to replace the clutch as he told me it felt heavy, and they are sorting out the leather on the o/s bolster. It will come with a 6 month warranty, but Ill be sticking a Porsche warranty on it soon.
I have yet to see the car, but the dealer, who Ive been chatting to over the last couple of days, have really inspired a lot of confidence in me, but I'm going to get it checked by the local Porsche dealer anyway.
Collection day should be next Thursday, providing I can get the clutch and inspection done in the mean time.
Here is a link to the advert ( I didn't pay screen price), and Ive uploaded a couple of pics. Just to say this was the number 1 colour choice and the number 1 wheel choice for me - I am on cloud nine at the moment.

Yeah its on disc, the drive is under the front bonnet on mine
The leather mats i think come as a package with the leather dash, again a optional extra
Well specced :happy2:

Lush mate & def on my want list. :congrats:
-
Very nice mate, you'll have to wait a few weeks before you can put a Porsche warranty on as they won't allow it because you bought it from a 3rd party.
Forgotten the exact time though.

Oli, I drive past this dealer nearly every day so stopped for a look this morning, it's every bit as lovely in the flesh mate!
Don't worry I didn't leave any grubby fingerprints although there may be a bit of drool on the drivers window :signLOL:

  Very naughty...
Looks so distinguished with the four pipe rear setup. My Boss used to have a blue of some kind C2S I wasn't sure about it appearance wise. May have needed darker wheels.
Your colour suits the 997 very much so Oli, well played and enjoy lots :happy2:
In your second pic, can you enable of those bulbs near the indicator bulbset as DRLs, a bit like the GT3 race cars have?
-
I had the car independently checked by Porsche Centre Chester today, apart from a couple of very minor items, they've said they car is in very good health and has been well looked after.
Other good news was I sold my 335D today privately rather than p/x, so am better off financially. Just means that I cant pick the Porsche up till next Tuesday now!
-
Very excited now.......
-
We expect the obligatory pics as soon as you have taken delivery - hope the day goes well tomorrow. :happy2:
-
Of course. Pick up is 1pm
