I know there's a section but I guess there's more traffic through here.

If I buy this version will it cover all VW group cars?:

Is it a lifetime update or do you pay for it again in one year?

I think that would cover most, the standard cable covers most modern cars just the older AUdis and VW.  And its a one off fee with free lifetime updates the cable itself is relatively cheap the cost is all for the software developement.

That will cover everything yes. But do you need the 2x2 and LT adaptor?

This is the same cable but without the adaptors and hard case. I have it and it works on all vags excluding the 2x2 diagnostic pluged models. (The 2x2 was dropped in the early 90's)
