Has anyone found that the reverse light on the MK5 golf is very dim? is there an LED bulb that can be put in its place instead to improve light output?

I don't think an LED would increase the light output. I saw an HID conversion done on a reverse light somewhere...that'd be a tad brighter :signLOL:

Reverse light is more to warn others you are reversing than to see where you are going at night?

There been some instances where in dark spots where I have tried to reverse but looking in the rear view mirror you see theres hardly any light illuminating the path to reverse into.
Seems there is no fix for this?

Reverse camera and RNS 510 :happy2:

You have to be very careful putting bright reverse lights in. Most times when reversing it is with traffic coming up behind you. A bright light facing you on the left as you approach could easily trick someone into thinking there is a bike or a car coming towards them on the wrong side of the road. A bit extreme i know, but i think that's why they are only piss poor output. :happy2:
