What is the loudest dump valve on the market for a golf gti mk5?
Ive only ever seen forge dump valves for sale
-
.
The Mk5 GTI doesn't have a 'dump' valve. It has a recirculating Diverter Valve (DV) and the 2.0T FSI engine is a lot happier not dumping air.
If you like that chavvy constant whoooshy-whoosh sound you can buy a Forge component which will make the noise for you but it's not the Forge DV. Dump valve sounds simply don't suit the Mk5 or 6 GTI. It's a German not Japanese car and is of a different era.

If you check out some sound clips on the American Mk5 Golf site you'll definitely find some :happy2:

a found once i got my gti remapped i could hear the 'whoooosh' noise alot clearer than when the car was standard, dont get me wrong its not loud but its noticeable wen in low gears with the window down

i've been told by performance companys to go for an RS4 diverter valve! so i'm going to try that out.... i have a dsg box tho so not to sure on the outcome
-
Rs4 is N/A engine it doesnt have the diverter valve ,you talking about the old RS4 ??
just buy a Forge DV and a good intake ,it sounds X times better than any VTA dump valve :happy2:
-
Yeh must be the old RS4...

you sure they were talking about an Rs4 return valve for the fuel sytem?
-
