had a nightmare with my computer today. It got taken over by a program called 'system tool'. looks like a normal anti malware program and keeps trying to make you register and pay the licence fee. It froze all my virus and spyware protection and practically everything else, its also hidden and a nightmare to find so deleting is an issue.
I tried all sorts of downloadable programs that are 'capable' of deleting it but they all failed. Eventually managed to open the computer up in safe mode and restore it back to a week ago.

Slightly annoyed that none of my virus protection caught it

Your machine will still be infected, that particular infection gets into your system restore folder. PM me and ill send you something that will get rid.

Happened to me, seemed to get infected through ebay of all places.
Mine was bloody clever, it took over the windows security applet in control panel and reported itself as being bang up to date!
System restore by over a month sorted it though
