Title: Front Wing Fitting
Post by: w_inman on February 28, 2011, 12:17:32 pm
Hi guys

The front wing on my Golf has been keyed.

I've sourced a used one in the correct colour and fancy having a bash at fitting it myself.

I know the front bumper will have to come off but this looks pretty easy.

Has anyone had any experience of changing a wing? I guess they are just bolt on? No sealer or anything required?

Any help appreciated  :happy2:

Ther's some foam glued inside the fender to dampen noise and wind, so you'll need some glue to fit it to the new one, otherwise it's about loosen inner fender, front bumper and a very good eye to get it to sit right.  :happy2:

Thanks for the help.

How do you mean loosen the inner fender? Does this mean the inner wing has to move?

Thanks again.

Inner fender, meaning the plastic sitting around the tyre inside the fender, it's also attached to the fender itself  :happy2:
