Im looking at upgrading to this in a couple of weeks time
is there anyone running this on the standard clutch? how does it cope if you are
does anyone know what the standard clutch is rated to?
also what figures are people seeing? ive done a quick search but can't find many answers
cheers

standard clutch will be fine dependant on how you drive it. If you do pulls in a high gear from a low RPM ie 5th gear 2000rpm and floor it (which the engine has no issues with) you will demolish the clutch very quickly. However if you change down and keep the revs up when you accelerate hard you'll be fine.
power is rollers dependant, tuner dependant and of course fuel and modification dependant
but a guideline.
stage 2 with just exhaust around 250hp
stage 2 with exhaust and intake 260Hp

how many miles is your car on now? i went stage 2+ at about 1000 miles ago and im now on 36000 on the clock and no problem at all

.
I'm running Revo Stage2 on K03 without any problems but I'm on a DSG box of tricks (also Revo remapped).
As Sy says: 250-260 bhp on Dyno-Dynamics rollers (JKM).

Im on stage 2. 270bhp/340lb/ft
Big difference in power and MPG is better if driven easy. Clutch is fine and I hope it stays this way lol

@ liver:
Don't get too focussed on the max bhp numbers. What matters more is driveability and reliability. Different rollers and operators deliver different numbers anyway.

thank you for your replys
im not too fussed about getting the top bhp figures im going with superchips so i already know i could get better figures with other tuners but i like the usage of the bluefin and the adaptability between that and stock.
im more bothered about the torque figure and how the clutch will cope with this
my car is on 51k and ive been running stage 1 for over a year,
performane mods are itg panel filter with a carbonio, will look to upgrde to gain better figures
3" Milltek non res tbe

bluefin makes around 250hp with the full TBE and intake on JKMs, so about 10Hp less and around 20ibft less than revo etc. But like you say its still hugely quicker than stock, and more likely to preserve the clutch

^^^^
Wise man, liver, re the torque - It's what can kill engines. Don't get lazy with the gear shifts :happy2: (I don't think you will)

As soon as i went revo stage 2+ the clutch started slipping. I do have a slightly heavier car than a golf though. The standard clutches dont have a strong enough clamping pressure.
I usually say to just take the chance. Most of the time the clutch will last (unless you have an S3 as they can slip in standard form!)

Running APR Stg2 with APR cat & RSC exhaust and CAI. Torque and mid-range is greatly improved, and massively improves the smile factor. :happy2:
My GTi has done 60k, there have been no problems with clutch after approx 10k of spirited Stg2 driving. :driver:

happy days seems i will be fine as long as im carful and not silly on the standard clutch, exactly what i wanted to hear
cheers guys
the exhausts going on on sat morning
