Title: Condensation in headlight
Post by: Gtiain on February 28, 2011, 04:50:14 pm
Firstly, why?!!! I've done a quick search but can't find anything. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I stop it. If I buy new headlights will it just happen again?

These little niggles are really starting to piss me off. Its a good job I love the car!

Yes mate, I had it on my original lights and now my xenons.

Only rarely, I think its just a combination of a few factors temp/water/length of use of the lights.

I usually pull the cap off the back of the light and it clears in a few minutes, I know Big Al uses silica gel bags in his  :happy2:

Thanks. So this is a common problem then? It's more annoying than anything.

Thanks guys. So where exactly should I put the silica bags? Is there a space in the housing, as I've not looked. Cheers

When you take the rear housing of the lights off, I just put them in there. That was for rears though. I have not needed to do heads ?

Yeah it's my headlights I need to do  :happy2:

I'll have to start looking through some old packaging for some silica bags now! Unless anyone knows where I can buy them?? Did the silica clear up the problem then?
