Its very nearly my Golf's third birthday, and I've been looking into a VW extended warranty. For a fully comprehensive policy, with Roadside Assistance and no mileage limit or excess I have been quoted £238.00. I'm just wondering is it worth it? My car has been in for warranty work 3 times in the last year, so I'm thinking that extending the warranty might be a good idea. What do you reckon?

I would say defo yes !
We pay £440 with Warranty Direct to have main dealer cover so that is a bargain !
Plus these GTI's are tender beasts, they go wrong all the time !
:happy2:

Sadly I have a GT Sport TSI 170 rather than a GTI but I was still surprised with the low quote they offered. Warranty Direct wanted best part of £100 more!

Hmmmm, Not sure about the reliability of the TDI but their are lots of people on here who will and will be along shortly :happy2:

I would definitely take out a warranty on the TSI

Gotta say that I am veering towards it, especially seeing as my car is currently with the dealers for a new turbo.

win. buy it.

Good price

Don't forget, the TSI hasn't proven to be the most reliable engine as you know.

I extended mine back in january, £359 for the Comprehensive cover including VW assistance breakdown and unlimited mileage :happy2:
