hi guys i seem to have a small vac/ air leak coming from the pipe circled in the pic below, i take it this is not normal?
What is this pipes function and how do i remove it as it has no visable clips or clamps holding it on

if it helps anyone in the future, ive just had a good hour googling and its a pipe connected to the vac pump and just pulls off, :happy2:

Was there any noticeable symptoms of the vac leak? Did you notice any difference in your brakes after fixing it?
-
it was only a very slight vac leak which could only just be heard (i have no engine cover fitted), and ive not driven the car much since but will report back when i do over the weekend :happy2:

I had to replace this pipe on my car a few weeks back. It had started to perish and split in quite a few places. Its only around £25 ish.
-
have you got a part number please Alex? the pipe seems ok on mine its just the rubber was a bit squashed where it joins to the vac pump, so ive turned it and it seems to have stopped for now.
but for the sake of £25 ill put a new 1 on :happy2:

That pipe is the vacuum supply fitted to the servo from the cylinder head, they have a bad tendancy to crack due to the temperatures of some of the components round it!!
