There's a good thread over on Detailling World for people to showcase there beading pics and thought it might be nice for people on here to show of there hard work and quality photography. I know a few of you on here are a dab hand with the camera so there should be some good shots!

I'll start the ball rolling with mine.......Colinite 845 freshly applied.

Well I came to put the Audi in the garage last night and found a little drizzle on it, thought I'd have a go with my old cannon ixus and get some beading pic's.

You can just see the GTi in the background. The Audi had 2 weeks of dirt on it (it's been washed this morning :innocent:) don't know if it beads better when its clean or dirty (someone will tell me) but i didn't think these were too bad

That wax is my new favourite, massive wet shine and looks as good now after 3 months as when it was fresh on!  :happy2:

when you guys say 3 coats are you applying the 3 coats one after the other or a coat every time you wash for 3 washes, I take it you wont loose your wax through a normal wash,,, does it still stay on ?

You can do it either way really, Scott. Though I usually finish / seal my work with 2 coats of wax / sealent. Use quick detailer to make your top coat last a little longer during the drying of the car (spray on to wet car and dry with towel). I would recommend that you use luke warm water to wash with, as hot water could potentially strip the wax. Hope this helps?

But surely 2-3 coats gives you an effective level of protection for about 2-3 maybe even 6 months? (dependant on road conditions, weather / season etc) I dont apply wax that often personally. I tend to stick to quick detailers to maintain the levels of glossiness and protection, but I guess everyone has their own way? :smiley:

cheers red, think it makes sense not to apply them all at the same time as you say, maybe depends on the type of wax, would like to apply them all in same day as to get it done and out the way but the other way as you say to do it after 3 washes in a row, I wonder what would be more effective out of the 2 ways.
I guess some people just wax on  - buff off then straight away do it 2 more times but as you say that may be a pointless procedure.
I actually find it easier to wax my whole car compared to doing the wheels,,, maybe its all the bending down at my age im finding a chore lol

Neutral PH Snowfoam,
Meguires Shampoo,
Autoglym Resin Polish and then a couple of coats of FK1000P sealant

Usually lasts a good couple of weeks before I need to reapply!
Will give it a good clay in the spring and start fresh!
