Until the Government tax it up to current "real" petrol prices!!!

I do hope it takes off!
There is alot of research and development going on to make our cars greener at the moment and it would be nice to see which one will win.
I have to say electric cars dont excite me, but the technology is a good idea and the way the cars work is ideal. but theres something about an internal combustion engine that we all like and would all miss.
Not to mention if in 20 years we where all driving in electric cars we would all have to modify our lives around our cars, unless a quick charge system could be developed. and the amount of scrap cars/engines would be obscene and in no way enviromentally freindly!

Couple of problems with electric cars that I see is you wont get heat as a by product so we will all freeze to death in winter and if you have an electric heater then you will cut your range in half! :stupid: And we can say good bye to aircon in the summer as well for the same reason. Let the general public move to electric, once the demand for petrol subsides I can keep on running a combustion car
