I'm sure I've bought oil from by dealer for a lot less than that. In fact it wasn't much more than what you'd pay for in halfrauds.

Is there something else I could buy from halfords?

halfords do a variety of 5w30 longlife oil. Try and go for a brand such as Castrol or Mobil though as opposed to their own brand stuff.

Just make sure that the oil has the VW seal of approval with it conforming to necessary ratings.

Was going to say, oil must be reasonably low for the oil light to come on - thats not good!

1L of Castrol Edge is only £10 at asda. Same bottle is £16 at halfrauds!  :happy2:

Castrol apparently don't do the slx stuff and it's been replaced by castrol edge stuff.
