Had car a week now and here are my thoughts. Love all the bits in side, leather, parking sensors, heated seats, DSG,xenons etc, never had this sort of gear before and its great.
Drove to London last night with a mixture of driving. Most of the driving back last night was 90-100 and all I can hear is wind noise its so quiet. Did a quick blat to 120 and felt great. Still got over 30 to gallon even at those speeds so impressed. Still learning bit about car, my mate said to me last night why do you keep putting the gear into manual, I said so I can see what gear I am in, he then said you can see that on the dashboard!!!! DOH Its has not got an ipod connection so I tried one of those 30 quid from thingies from halfords, its was ok but I have my doubts. Anyway I saw one on amazon for 5 quid so I bought one, if its not great its only a fiver . The engine is ok but it feel restricted , probably why you lot have remaps. I was thinking of just a stage one remap. Thing is my mate has a blue fin handset from an old car of his he said I could have for 50 quid. Does anyone know how much blue fin charge to remap it for a different car?
thanks

About £200 I think for bluefin to reset the unit.

As I have a warranty I wanted to be able to reset the car when I have it serviced? Do people on here get their cars serviced at vw dealers or independents? Do you recommend a diff remap? revo?

I never have had my VW serviced at one of their garages, apart from my first ever dealing with them, they charged me £200 for a service on a VW polo, and then had the nerve to put £10 on for washer fluid (which they had not done) and changed my brakes without asking me to.
I go to VW approved every time, half the price, and more knowledge.
I would recommend you look into a revo map, not got this, but if you have the switch can put the car back to standard when needed (warranty etc)

When you say VW approved do you mean an Indy? Is there a list of Indys?
