I had updated the fw to 2760 no battery drain, and had v7 maps on. All worked fine. Had the car in for a service, now I only have 4 digit postcodes avail. I went into setup, and it says fw is still 2760, and the map is version 7377. Has anyone any idea what has happened?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like they updated the firmware. Try reflashing

Try soft resetting the RNS. hold down <> and (i) together for 5 secs to reboot.

I tried a soft reset and it didnt work. I'll try and put the fw and maps on again tomorrow. All my saved locations had vanished aswell

Some Dealers run the vag software as part of the service and if it flags any updates they update them

definately a reflash then. Its probs becuase you had a nodrain firmware, it wouldve flagged as out of date

i would remove the stereo fuse tonight or you could find a flat battery tomorrow morning

It wouldnt let me update the FW as it says the current version is the same. I put the v7 map dvd in, and nothing came up on screen. I went to enter a postcode in with the map dvd in the drive, and the 6 digit postcode appeared.
I shut the rns down, ejected the dvd. entered another postocde, and the 6 digit option reappeared????
Very strange, but glad its working properly again. my car is definetly cursed!
