Title: Hi Guys! / Question RE: rear GTI letters

Hi guys, just popping in to say hello! Below is a pic of my 57 Black GTI which i've had about 2 months now. I don't know that much about cars but I could spot the quality of these a mile off, and am slowly trying to educate myself on how to make it better/unique!

One question I have which is of concern is regarding the rear of my car - I don't have the GTI letters on the back, only the word GOLF on the left hand side. Can anyone shed any light on this, as every other GTI I see has these letters! It was a company car before mine, so there are no mods and I can't think it was debadged. Any help appreciated!

Yep after posting the same question in the main forum it appears that would be most likely. Thanks for the reply mate, and will look into the letters as my first mini-mod!
