Title: 2006 MK5 Jetta RNS 510 odd problem

A friend installed one of these last year in his Jetta, thankfully no battery drain problem. It works ok but when he takes out the key it goes off as normal but when he gets out and closes the door it comes back on again. It doesn't do it all the time. Sometimes when he closes the boot it comes on also. anyone come across this and if so is there a fix?

the head unit fires the hdd up ready to speed up the switch on process,its activated by the doors opening
