Hi,
From the South, Hampshire. Just bought myself a MKV Golf GTi 2.0 DSG, 05 in Red, 47K miles - Trade purchase, immaculate condition, all the stamps, reciepts, warranty etc! :happy2: - Great service and great deal..
Been with the car for five days and it just keeps getting better. Forever suprising me.... And the DSG.... Awesome! No regrets! Looking for any reasons to drive it atm. Picked up my Vpower shell card already - with the intent on using it pretty heavily I suspect in the next few weeks
This MKV beast is a huge step up from the MK1 Leon Cupra R that I used to run IMO. The chassis on the Cupra doesn't even compare to that of the GTI's. The speed feels pretty similar but more solid in the GTI and with much less torque steer. The DSG helps it along and puts a smile on my face everytime....
Profile info/car pics to follow..
Will enjoy it standard for the time being but who knows..
Look forward to the help and banter!

Ha any excuse hey!? Fortunatly I'm working from home today. Already been out this morning. Come lunch time I'll be out for another spin..

haha nice. Its just fun driving around in the GTI on sunny days :happy2: hell its fun whatever the weather :P

Got a few months to wait, then i'll be wrapping the wheels in some new and quality rubber. Can't wait to feel how she plays then..
Out of interest, what tyres are ur ED30 on?
-
Currently running a set of Continental Sport Contact 3s. Premium tyres at premium prices, but they seem to hold the road very well, and have little to no road noise.
Ive heard good things of Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas though - about 100 a pop and handle very well indeed.
-
I actually looked at both a few days ago. Was pretty keen on the Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas. Good all round reviews and at a reasonable price.
I used to have Eagle F1's on the old Cupra R. No complaints and massive improvement on the stock tyres I had. Looking a Pirelli P3's aswell. Either way I go is going to be better than my current setup - a bit mish and mash atm.. :ashamed:
-
A few weeks late!
A few snaps of my GTI!
